Call For Audio Submissions!
University of Central Florida Undergrads, Graduate Students, Alumni, Faculty, and Staff: submit your spookiest poetry, short fiction, or short nonfiction for our Halloween podcast episode! Simply record yourself reading an original, short piece that suits the season: horror, magic, fantasy, autumnal equinox, anything that will make our skin crawl.
Submissions will be accepted through Monday, October 21st, 2019. We know it’s short notice, but we hope you’ll be as excited about participating as we are.
There is no pay associated with publication to the podcast. We’re broke college students, just like you. But, there’s the cool factor — you’ll have a publishing credit to your name. You can tweet about it to the world!
A couple of things to note: before you record your piece, be sure to
Keep in mind, the quality of a clear recording from your phone is good enough. Just be sure you’re in a quiet room and any ambient noise is at a minimum. If we want your piece, but the audio quality isn’t acceptable, we may ask you to re-record under different conditions.
Your email submission should include:
1 – A short bio (50 words or less).
2 – A one-sentence description (logline) for your piece.
3 – Your audio file as an attachment.
If we choose your submission to appear on our October 27, 2019 podcast, you will be notified via email. If you would like to be contacted through another medium (a different email address, text, etc.), please be sure to include that information in the body of your email submission.
Please know that we do not tolerate any form of bigotry in the work we publish.
Good luck and we hope to hear from you soon!
All submissions should be sent to submissions@workingtitlepod.com.
